Ben Heine is a Belgian political illustrator, cartoonist and painter, born in
Abidjan, Ivory Coast, on 12 June, 1983. He has studied Communication and Journalism
at Institut des Hautes Etudes des Communications Sociales, IHECS (Brussels) as well
as Painting and Art History at Academie Royale des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles (Belgium)
and at Hastings College of Arts and Technology (England). He is mainly known for his
cartoons
against war and his peace activism.
Ben is a member of Tlaxcala, MWC News, Don Quichotte, Rebelion, No More Ignorance
and Cubadebate. Amongst other publications abroad, some of his cartoons are
published in the Belgian paper La Libre Belgique.
