On the 20th of April 2007, in the Museum Center, Cartoon exhibition was held by Azerbaijan Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Azerbaijan Cartoonists’ Union and “Mozalan” (Gadfly) satiric film-magazine. 200 works of nearly 100 cartoonists were displayed in the exhibition. Azerbaijan Republic Culture and Tourism Minister Mr.Abulfaz Garayev valued the often arranging of such cartoon exhibitions as a good tradition and called it as an important event in the life of society. The next to speak was the Editor-in-Chief of “Mozalan” satiric film-magazine Orkhan Fikretoglu who talked of a centenary history and great traditions of Azerbaijan cartoon art. Recent development of this art and its being loved by the youths prove that Azerbaijan cartoon has firm and reliable future. In the exhibition, well-known artists, popular film-workers, writers and actors of Azerbaijan got acquainted with our cartoonists’ works.
